Impotence treatment
Impotence consultation and treatment - who it's for
Our impotence assessment and impotence treatment service is a specialist private service to help men who suffer from
erectile dysfunction. Male impotence can have a profound impact on relationships and self-esteem. Oral treatment is often
effective but only a small proportion of men qualify for impotence treatment on the NHS.
Impotence consultation and treatment - aims
Our service aims to help men identify the likely cause of their condition, to provide appropriate treatment and/or
follow-up investigations. Where male impotence is caused by physiological causes rather than psychological ones, male
impotence tends to be a sign of potentially more serious cardiovascular conditions which need to be investigated.
Impotence consultation and treatment - how it works
During the consultation our doctors will talk through your condition and may suggest various tests to help them identify
the likely causes. If appropriate, our doctors may advise that you try a course of a prescribed impotence treatment. Our
doctors can prescribe and give you the treatment there and then. Our doctors may advise that you have a follow-up therapy
session with one of our psychosexual therapists.
